I was suggesting that we meet at the Asian at 10am when they open to avoid the crowds, if that's not too early for you on this Friday. Would that work for you?Zoomiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16474153316588551039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5732224038883472327.post-56294579123317804762008-04-22T21:21:00.000-07:002008-04-22T21:21:00.000-07:00I haven't gotten your e-mail yet; do you suppose t...I haven't gotten your e-mail yet; do you suppose that the Internet ate it?Nancy Ewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12116290968007398337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5732224038883472327.post-73065707726144014122008-04-22T13:49:00.000-07:002008-04-22T13:49:00.000-07:00NamasteNancy, that looks great! As for the scraps of lamb, how about lamb barley soup? Even if you don't have that much lamb, barley makes a delicious soup. I always add more spices and if you want a nice change, try adding curry.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground lamb (or the lamb scraps, probably best to sautee them first)
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can diced
tomatoes, drained
2 cups water
3 (10.5 ounce) cans beef
consomme (OR your own home made stock)
1 (10.75 ounce) can
condensed tomato soup
4 medium carrots, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black
pepper
1/2 cup barley
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place the lamb and onion into a large soup pot over medium heat. Cook and stir until the lamb is browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease if any. Stir in the tomatoes, water, consomme, and tomato soup. Add the carrots, celery, and barley, and season with chili powder and pepper. Simmer over medium heat for 45 minutes.Nancy Ewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12116290968007398337noreply@blogger.com
