This picture was taken several years ago but the beach we love best hasn't changed a bit. We grab a cup of coffee from the Kalapawai Market and stroll down the beach in the early morning, stopping to pick up shells and only going as far as we feel like. We call that exercise, Hawaiian style.
Enjoy the next Hawaiian music video as you imagine yourself with your feet in that warm water up to the ankles. Hawaiian music is "ono" - the best!

ReplyDeleteI got da kine bag of kukuis I collected on the shore in Kauai years ago. They're not shiny and polished, like the tourist leis, but I still might thread them!
ReplyDeleteCookie, or make a light with those candle nuts?
ReplyDeleteLove this photo of the two of you! and enjoying the music you have shared. We have a professional chamber vocal group that researches and performs "old" music exquisitely, and one season they did Hawaiian music, since of the singers is Hawaiian. Here's a link, if you are interested in hearing some of their work: http://www.roseensemble.org/music/n%C4%81-mele-hawaii-rediscovery-hawaiian-vocal-music
ReplyDeleteBlogger messed up the link but you can find it if you go to their home page:
