Reminded me of the Phantom of the Opera's mask, pallid and somewhat sinister. Or Casper the Friendly Ghost's evil twin. Nothing ugly about the taste, however, and it made a nice change of pace to our normal cold lunches.A melted sandwich with Swiss cheese, wheatberry toast and tuna salad made with lovely olive-oil packed tuna, celery, green onion, lemon juice and a soupçon of mayo.
Briefly under the broiler until the cheese sags and even browns, if you want.
Brutti ma buoni - ugly but good.
But on SUCH a pretty plate :)
